Who is SolarSaver?
SolarSaver is a fund that was established by Sedgeley Energy in 2015 with a view to offering clients a unique solar rental solution that doesn’t require them to put up any capital or financial guarantees. The SolarSaver group now runs the largest fleet of self-financed commercial roof-top solar installations in Southern Africa.

What does SolarSaver do?
SolarSaver is a solar PV fund that offers PPA and rent-to-own solar PV solutions. SolarSaver completes all its projects in-house, with engineering and installation teams in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Windhoek and Gaborone. The SolarSaver portfolio includes over 700 systems operated by SolarSaver under long-term rent-to-own and PPA contracts across South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

Business models
SolarSaver allows business owners to “go green” and lets them start saving on their monthly electricity bills without any capital investment. Instead, SolarSaver pays for the system and clients only pay for the cheaper, greener electricity produced.
SolarSaver’s effective tariffs are cheaper than grid power, so our clients save money from day one and we remain responsible for all ongoing maintenance and management into the future.

Without AMMP, SolarSaver would need a team of 2+ FTE to manage the reporting requirements to their clients and investors. This would not only need resources, but also expose the process of reporting to human error.
AMMP allows SolarSaver to do the whole portfolio management and reporting on the first business day of the billing cycle, done by 1 person instead of a full dedicated team of 2+ FTE and without the potential of human error due to substantial automation.
